Just wondering what you guys thought, I ordered my 4310 Saterday and dealer said the factory says "imediate delivery" when He checked earlier that week, but He could not place the order until Monday(2-23-04). Now He says the factory says delivery is April 20, I ordered the large R4 tires and He thinks this is the hold up. I guess I'm just going to have to wait but I will probably drive my wife insane before than.

When I bought my 4310 the dealer had a couple on the lot with R1s, but since I wanted R4s it took six weeks. There were no R4s to be had at the time, maybe the backlog still hasn't cleared up. Sad thing is I ended up dumping the R4s later due to traction issues :( ....

Me thinks I'd see what he has for inventory and at other locations. Then tell him to get the tractor here now and swap out tires later. Unless he's only a 1 or 2 tractor dealer he should have some used tires around to use for now.

Unless like you are guessing the request for special tires has it held up and there is some fine print about avaiable parts...

It would drive me nuts. Cause when I want something I want it NOW! I do not wait very well.

Good luck in the waiting room paceing the floor...

Before I placed my order I went and talked to three diffrent John Deere dealers, one had a tractor in stock and the other two would have to order it. Well I ended up where I did because of price but to tell the truth I also liked the fact the tractor would be ordered and not already on the lot. I didn't know how long the tractor at the one dealer had been there in the weather, I know this is not a big deal to some guys but I literally don't plan on the tractor sitting out even one night once it is mine so why not get one that has never been out, plus how many people have climbed all over that one? So anyways I'll have to get some patience and wait. ....

When I bought my kubota I went to a dealer out in the middle of nowhere on a whim. He had one L3130 out front for display and at least six more out back still in the crate and unassembled. He also had all the FEL and valve choices right there. It was nice to call him back in the middle of the week to say I'd pick it up on Saturday. It was hard enough to wait three days.
